returns/exchanges

Returns and exchanges are considered on a case by case basis. Exchanges are not so black and white here as a small, semi nomadic business where items are one of a kind and handmade.

A few rules of thumb….

Custom pieces are neither refundable nor exchangeable. Custom pieces have been designed and created  in collaboration with and for you and therefore will not be considered for any sort of exchange. Please be fully committed when requesting custom work and know your ring size when ordering rings .

Made to Order pieces are replicable designs that I make to order special for you .  Production time is typically up to 4 weeks for fabrication.  Exchanges will be considered on a case by case basis. Please feel free to contact me within one week of receiving your item to discuss the need to exchange. If you are eligible for exchange, you may exchange it for an item in the list at the end of this page.

Ready to Ship pieces are jewels that have already been made , and are ready to ship to you. If you are unsatisfied with your jewel, you are eligible to exchange it for an item in the list at the end of this page. You must contact me within one week of receiving your piece.

Gifts: At checkout, please mark the box that says ” this is a gift “and and make a note to me when you will be gifting it. This way I can extend the grace period for you to let me know you need to make an exchange.

More expected protocol….

Once we discuss the need for exchange,  you will mail the item back to me in its original condition, in its original packaging (gift box/pouch), with tracking and possibly additional  insurance depending on the value of the item. You must send the tracking number to me once you’ve shipped the package. I do not accept exchanges for damaged pieces if the package is not packed properly. Please be sure to pad and pack the package responsibly. All return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Please do not ship a jewel back to me without contacting me for further instruction, as my address changes biannually between New York and Puerto Rico.  I am not responsible for packages lost because they were mailed without contacting me, or for any other reason . Return shipping for the new piece is also the responsibility of the buyer. You’ll pay for it through the website in this next step.

Once you’ve made contact and an exchange is in order, I will then create a custom listing for you on the website for $.01. I’ll need you to purchase the listing so that you are in my order queue, and that way the shipping will be payed for for the item(s) being exchanged. If there is a cost difference and more money is owed, I will create another listing for you, or create it instead of the one cent listing.

Exchangeable items are limited. Please see the list below for eligible items you can exchange for.

Exchanges are not eligible for store credit or gift cards. You must make your selection within one week.

Please choose carefully when shopping. I am one person carefully crafting these pieces for you, so exchanges can tend to slow down the flow of things. I do try to be as accommodating as possible so feel free to contact me with any concerns.
