Jewelry Workshop 12/8

Come try your hand at making jewelry with me at my studio in Rockaway Beach!

A brand new sip n craft will be held next Sunday December 8  from 4-6 pm (ish).  If the class or individuals need longer to complete their project , I will stay longer to make sure everyone completes their jewelry, but the average time will be about 2 hours…. l would just leave a little extra time just in case.

In this class, participants will design their own pair of earrings and a bracelet. The earrings will be made with gold electroformed gemstones, and gold is the only metal available for these earrings so be sure that you like gold, or will have someone to gift them to that likes gold.

The earrings will be made with 1,2, 3 or 4 electroformed gemstones  you can arrange in a drop earring style. Inspiration examples will be provided in the class.

The bracelets will be particularly fun to make. You can choose from a gold or silver base. Then choose from a variety of gemstone beads to create your pattern, then string onto beading wire and finish with a clasp and link closure. (These are not elastic bracelets)

Wine, cheese, coffee, cookies and other snacks will be served.

What to expect:

When you come in to the studio you’ll find a seat. There you’ll find your own tray of tools and wire, as well as a plate and wine glass. We’ll start by talking and preparing our plates and glasses with refreshments from the spread of snacks and beverages. From there we will sit down and I’ll go over the projects, and begin instruction on how we will use our tools to create our pieces. After that you’ll be free to choose from a wide variety of gemstone beads to create your jewels. We will construct our jewelry for the remainder of class while chit chatting and having fun. Come alone or bring a friend(s).
